A.- The single Confederation of workers (CUT) of Colombia said that today will be a national strike backed by workers, students, pensioners, peasants and social organizations that will be mobilized in defense of the territory, life and peace.
The President of the CUT, Diógenes Orjuela, pointed out that in Bogotá, the March will focus at 13 H 00 (local time) on the Plaza de Bolivar, leaving from different points of the city, published Telesur.
In the participaranmas of 300 thousand teachers demonstration, informed the President of the Federation Colombian of of education workers (Fecode), Nelson Alarcón.
“We are going to mobilize to denounce the plight of public education,” stressed in this regard that “recuperaremoslas educational activities as we always do”.
Colombians and about 15 social organizations will take to the streets in rejection of the National Development Plan (PND), a reform of law posed by the Government of President Ivan Duque.
This policy, according to the Confederation of pensioners, seeks to support the interests of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and affect the rights of the neogranadino people.
This national strike will also take place in more than 25 departments in the country, joining protests that take from months ago Indians and peasants of the minga of social, in order to reject the murder of at least 600 social leaders and demand guarantees of Government protection established in the peace agreement with the ex-combatants of the FARC-EP.
