The Ministry of People’s Power for National Trade, through the National Superintendency for the Defense of Socio-Economic Rights (Sundde), sanctioned 43 private health centers for committing the crimes of speculation and conditioning in medical services, the information was released by Minister Contreras through his account on the social network Twitter.
The clinics were summoned to appear before the Sundde to deliver their tariff structure of services and procedures, due to multiple complaints made by users, in the face of exorbitant charges in medical services, which were conditional on being paid in foreign currency.
The sanctioned clinics failed to comply with the Organic Fair Prices Act articles: 46, infringement for non-compliance with Formalities; 49, speculation and 56 conditioning.
These processes of review to private medical centres are carried out to ensure health as a fundamental right, the provision of services at fair prices and without conditioning, as established by the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Article 83.
This is the list of the 43 private health centers that we sanction for committing crimes of speculation and conditioning in the services, responding to the complaints received and maintaining the supervisory mechanisms as instructed by the Pdte. @NicolasMaduro #17Jul pic.twitter.com/7NNFtNqZLd
