The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, pointed out on Thursday that there is a lot of hypocrisy in the international community because it silences the protests that have been in Ecuador for eight days against the economic measures of President Lenín Moreno. they lash out at the Venezuelan government of Nicolás Maduro.
“The protests are against the International Monetary Fund (IMF), those governments that want to sleathe people’s wealth. There’s a lot of hypocrisy. Where is the Organization of American States (OAS)? What does (Luis) Almagro say about this? What does the high commissioner for human rights (Michelle Bachelet) say about the massacre in Ecuador? What does the Lima Cartel say? Nothing! , What does the UN Rights Council say? It’s all against Venezuela. They disfigure it, misrepresent it to create a global matrix against our country,” Saab said in an interview at Venezuelan Television.
As for Ecuador’s statements, Lenín Moreno, blaming President Maduro for what is happening in the South American country, Saab called it “part of ridicule” and continued: “That president blames other dignitary what he has not been able to resolve reveals a plan to stigmatize the Venezuelan government. Look at the crook, the hypocrite of that version that Lenín Moreno throws and, I go further; so has its Colombian president, Ivan Duque.”
In this regard, Saab urged Bachelet and the Lima Group to rule in Ecuador and leave the matrix against our country: “The Lima cartel has been founded only to massacre the people of Venezuela with sanctions that the United States establishes. They want to impose a war to starve the people, end their social rights, and give everything to the IMF.”
